Meredith, wow! Things happened at lightning pace in this instalment! Sorry I haven't commented on 2 or 3, but haven't been around to read, much less post. frown

Anyway, does this mean that they're safe? What about the other world, anyway, or are we not supposed to care about it any more? wink

And when do we get SMOOCHIES??

Oh, interesting physical reaction to the severing of the bond! It sucks -- in that it's really sad wink -- that our Lois and the other Clark had to die for us to realize the cause of the mysterious illness, but it does make a certain amount of sense.

So the BEANSTALC is where, now? Has it ceased to exist? If so, I hope it took Lex with it. And I'm glad there was none of that "I can't mess up space and time by taking you with me" angst wink

You've been very efficient with setting up and knocking down problems <g> Looking forward to seeing the resolution.

wow, I wasn't expecting that! So this universe is safe from the other one right? But what about Lois' friends in the other one and how are you going to explain her appearance to Perry and Jimmy and so on? Maybe you could make them believe that she's a different person by, oh, I don't know, giving her a haircut maybe? (There you are Tank, you don't even have to ask yourself, you can just sit at your computer and think of another challenge for Wendy or anyone else with an evil streak, or should I say anyone else who is just plain evil?) Sorry, I'm sidetracking blush I really love this part, especially when Clark realised that both of them became unconscious when their counterpart died, <sniff> and there I was thinking Clark was ill from Kryptonite! that was really cleverly done biggrin

If the last part is just going to be a wrap up then I'm sure you'll be able to put in a few smoochies, please? Or is Lois going to be mad at Clark for not telling her that he wasn't her Clark? How is he going to explain that?

I'm pretty sure I haven't been very coherent, I'm still working on this stupid project and my brain is scrambled more than usual, so sorry if I'm not making any sense blush

Hi Meredith,

Wow! great part.
Lois is in Clark world.
That world is left with an evil Luthor.
What family did Lois leave behind?
What made the machine disappear?
Did the machine disappear forever or only when back to Luthor?
Luthor wounded Clark.

Post soon, please

Meredith, I'm simply awed by the clever way you've managed to parallel so closely the original beanstalk story. Brilliant stuff!

Meredith, what a fabulous story this is!! I discovered it yesterday and eagerly read the first 4 parts, and now am impatiently awaiting part 5. Can you tell that I don't feel like actually working today?? wink

So is the reason that Clark feels more confident and alive and positive in Lois's universe because Lois exists (well, now she's in Clark's world) there?? Lex is even more evil and creepy than usual, and you did a very wonderful job portraying him. He makes me shudder.

I'm glad to see that the Beanstalc managed to transport both of them (and we'll see if was safely or not - but it seems to have been) even though Wells warned that it could only be used with one person. Sometimes you just have to bend the rules, don't you? wink

I love Clark in this, and I especially love Lois, as well as Clark's admiration and enjoyment of this Lois, as he notices her readiness to fight as she puts on her feeble, weak voice. VERY excellent. smile

I hope you'll be posting part 5 soon. biggrin
