Zoweeee! Lovely ending to a lovely story. I'm so glad they finally managed to get things out in the open and have a productive conversation! biggrin Nice job, guys! smile

And the ending was so waffy ...

Hey guys!

So let's see what you thought of the final section. smile

Quote:
you know, when I saw 'Finale' I didn't want to open it, once you've read the end, there's no going back, the story's finished however, not reading it ment that it could never be finisahed and I'd never know what happens next, so of course, I had to read it

LOL Helen! You know, I didn't want to finish writing this story either. We had so much fun collaborating on Desperate Measures that I was sad to see it end - but then both Wendy and I agreed that we couldn't let it be our only joinly written story, so expect other works from us in the future. smile

Yeah, we decided we couldn't resist the thought of torturing the poor gentle readers further with co-written stories from our evil minds - oh, and just to restate the matter, Helene is far more evil than I am. <g>

Snork. Yeah sure. Like anyone's going to believe that. [g]

Quote:
this section was very emotional and I absolutely love all the thoughts and especially the way that Lois tries her best to convince Clark that she does love *him* not Superman but then she gives up

LOL, we're really glad you liked the thoughts. We both have a bit of a reputation for enjoying some introspection here and there. biggrin Seriously, thank you. Good thing Lois didn't entirely give up!

Quote:
I also love the way that Clark finally sees Lois' perception of Superman and that she believes him to be a real person not the 2D cut-out Clark sees him as. Did that make sense?

It certainly does, and thank you, Helen. smile It was quite a struggle for him to come to terms with Lois's feelings for Superman and accept them as genuine.

Quote:
AWWW! So full of angst!

LOL Antonia! Yep, we sort of have a reputation for enjoying angst, too. biggrin

Quote:
And everytime he felt like going to her but couldn't, you just wanted to stand behind him and give a push ..!

You're sure you didn't want to pull him towards you instead, Anne? evil

Quote:
This two think to much.
I thought for the Title that you were going to do something drastic.

They always think too much. It's part of their charm. [bg] As for the title, the 'desperate measure', to us, was Clark's declaration of love as Superman. smile

Quote:
However, your finale seems like it is ripe for a GRANDE FINALE. Something...say posted in the nfic board..hint, hint

LOL Methos! And I thought I was the one always asking for more smoochies. [bg] But see, if we'd gone beyond, Tank wouldn't have borne it. You know he doesn't like yucky stuff. [g]

Speaking of which...not everyone is happy with the smoochies even as they are. goofy

Quote:
Yeah, yeah, all waffy and tender... ho hum.

Uh-oh...

Quote:
Where were the whams. Nobody got seriously hurt. A few bruised feelings maybe but no limbs lost or anything.

You mean we didn't torture poor Lois and Clark enough? Darn, and I thought we were evil! [g] Maybe we should have cut Lois's hair...naaaaah. evil

Quote:
Oh well, I guess I just have to accept that some people just have to have a happy ending. But on that note I'd just like to say: when Clark was 'remembering' all those little incidents where Lois' true feelings for him slipped forth, how come you didn't use my own personal favorite scene?

The look on Lois' face as Clark walked away from her after that goodbye kiss in Man of Steel Bars was enough to tear your heart out. I'm very disapointed that Clark didn't have that little scene come leaping back into mind during his internal trips down memory lane.

Ah but it was Clark remembering those moments, and he didn't see the look on Lois's face while he was walking away from her in Man of Steel Bars.

- which is a real shame, because that was a beautiful, poignant moment. If Clark had seen the look on her face, I wonder what he'd have done? wink

Who knows? Hmm...could be explored, don't you think? [g]

Quote:
Lois and Clark's emotions are extremely well portrayed. My heart went out to both of them.
I love how Lois tries to convince Clark of her love. Thank heavens Clark finally realizes how sincere she is.

Awww, thank you, Tricia and Shadowfax! And yes, Clark can be quite a lunkhead, but in the end he has to see the light. [g]

This wasn't your first co-authored fic was it? I can't believe that.

In fact, it was. But as I said earlier, it was so enjoyable that we decided to co-author another story. smile

Thank you again, to all of you, Helen, Antonia, Anne (happy birthday again), Maria, Methos, Tank, Tricia, Helga, Merry, Lote, and Shadowfax! We're thrilled that you enjoyed this fanfic, and we hope you'll like our next collaboration. smile

I somehow never commented on the end of this, which was very sweet and WAFFy, expecially after all the misunderstanding ( and downright idiocy) of both of them in the earlier parts.

Nan, just wanted to say thank you for your feedback. smile It's true both Lois and Clark were lunkheads in parts of this story, but in the end they had to see the light, i.e. that they were meant to be together and smooch till the end of times. goofy

Thanks again!
