The comics are back!
They never went away, of course, but comics that I want to buy are back!
This is a good article summarizing what is happening now. We still get the angst but it isn't from Superman or Lois. It's kid angst from young Jon. Something I deal with everyday- and twice on week days during the school year.

SUPERMAN #2

My iPad is now the home of my renewed collection of Superman comics.
Young Jon seems to have found his Lana; and he is taking to experimenting with his new powers, sometimes with adverse consequences. Great shades of fan fiction!

It's too soon to have much of a plot yet, but I do like the characterizations of the family. Clark is a good dad without being so possessive. I didn't like that part but I guess Jonathan might have been a little over protective, too, because of his fear that Clark might be captured and dissected.

One thing I was going to mention was what you told us your RPG friend from Kansas said about his own upbringing, and here we see Jon calling his dad a respectful "sir."
You just have to do it right to get it right.
And read it here first. wink

I'm reading Action and Superman but I've been away too long and haven't gotten back into the slow moving pace of the stories. That's why I almost never read ff chapter by chapter and wait for the story to be finished.

Kate, who learned that from Bev

The first TPB of this comic is out. If you wait to buy the compilations, now's the time. The other titles in the rebirth event are issuing TPBs, too. I've read most of the comics at my dad's because I'm collecting only Superman, Action and Batman, the latter mainly for Bruce's relationship with HIS son. I'll wait for the trades to go to auction on Ebay before getting Flash, Green Lantern, WW, etc.

There is a new creative team coming to take over but no one has bothered to tie up any threads. The storylines are still a bit confusing. Everyone is talking about the characters merging so I guess that's what's happening. confused
